ANGELO: Technology at the service of sound inclusion

The ANGELO project was born from an intuition by Luciano Fumagalli: the idea that technology should be a bridge, never a barrier. Developed and released under an Open Source license, ANGELO is an analog environmental amplifier, designed to restore the fullness of the acoustic landscape to anyone who wishes to rediscover the pleasure of immersive listening.
A story of empathy and innovation born during the global challenge of the pandemic, the project aimed to overcome silence and relational isolation. Through an entirely analog, zero-latency architecture, ANGELO enables an immediate and natural connection with the surrounding environment, encouraging active participation and emotional exchange.
Our mission: Social Design and Transparency (OSHWA Certified (IT000017), ANGELO is not a commercial product, but a manifesto of technological democracy. We believe in a world where communication tools are accessible, repairable, and shareable. Every component of our hardware is open to study and experimentation, making it ideal for educational and community settings, and for anyone who believes in the value of human connection through sound.
