The "ANGELO, Amplifies Emotions" project is the result of an extraordinary synergy involving university professors, designers, technology hubs, schools, packaging experts, artists, and audiophile makers, all passionately coordinated by creator Luciano Fumagalli.
Like pieces of a puzzle, these collaborations have enabled the development of an open-source environmental listening platform. Initially conceived to foster communication and reduce relational isolation in community settings, the project now aims to disseminate accessible audio inclusion tools also in LMICs (Low- and Middle-Income Countries).

Project Synergies:

Research and Vision: University professors contributed their scientific and technological expertise, outlining the roadmap for the project's development in its embryonic phase and promoting a culture of open innovation.
Teaching and Solidarity: Collaboration with a secondary school allowed students to include the creation of ANGELO prototypes in their curriculum. These specimens were donated to various organizations in the provinces of Brescia and Cremona as tools to foster dialogue and social interaction.
Sound Engineering: The contribution of expert audio makers was crucial to optimizing the analog signal chain. The circuit was calibrated to enhance the mid-range frequencies typical of the human voice, reducing latency and improving the naturalness of ambient sound perception.
Design and Accessibility: Collaboration with designers and technology hubs led to the creation of an ergonomic and elegant 3D case. The design is intuitive and facilitates DIY, allowing for quick assembly without the need for complex tools.
Art and Packaging: A packaging company and a calligraphy artist created a custom box that transforms the hardware into an experiential gift, emphasizing the profound connection between emotion and technology.

Thanks to this unique ecosystem, "ANGELO" is now an inclusive solution that transforms technology into a tool for social change, demonstrating how collaboration can have a positive impact on people's lives, reuniting emotions and precious connections.
